A couple of days ago, I received a letter from the University, telling me that I've been awarded a Warwick Postgraduate Research Fellowship. Certainly, this good news made me quite happy but I felt a bit uneasy about it too. As the Chinese saying goes, sadness comes after extreme happiness. Once again, my instict was right!! My computer started to go crazy soon after I told my hubby about my award. Only within one day, the hard drive turned out to be totally hopeless--it was then DEAD!! I really don't know what to say. Maybe the only phrase which can suitably describe all this is "c'est la vie." After all, life is full of ups and downs, isn't it?
I suppose I can get back to a normal life like in those old days without computers occupying most of my time--at least till my new hard drive is sent to me. That is to say, I have plenty of time now for reading, listening to music, watching TV, cycling, and daydreaming. Alas, I've always got to look on the bright side of life!

死掉一個硬碟算什麼？比起你省下的學雜費，死掉一部電腦都不可惜......啊你資料有備份嗎？ 沒有電腦也好。像我家現在雖然沒電視，有電腦一樣慘！
當過留學生的妳,一定了解在國外沒有自己的電腦可用有多可憐!又或許是我中電腦的毒太深 了,這種病不知道有沒有藥醫? 整個電腦事件受害最深的其實是我ㄤ,先是一大早被我的電話吵醒,接著在我今天去伯明翰看 了兩齣戲(The Emperor's New Machine, Miss Saigon)的同時,跑了半個台北去幫我搞 定硬碟,送到剛好明天要來華威的學校代表手上!給他拍拍手吧! p.s.資料有備份,但不知道能救回多少?~~*_*~~
妳讓我想到Sex and City那個Carrie電腦掛掉後，周邊的人都問她： 妳沒有備份嗎？ 還好妳有備份！(有比沒有好) 也恭喜妳的好消息！英國費用高，所以電腦壞了...笑一個吧！
p.s. 這音樂好好聽，可是有一點點點點... blue ㄋㄟ ... Thirty something 一定要 blue 嗎？

I quite enjoy being thirty something myself! *^_^* Dear Malugo, I've already learned how to search for an open window when the door is shut.
